This is a perfect intro to blaxploitation films—full of swagger, wild fits, big laughs, and the word motherfucker said more times than Samuel L. Jackson. wait.... actually… this might be where he got it from.

I couldn’t find the pairing movie I was looking for, but this yt channel also had Disco Godfather, another highly recommended watch from this era.
As campy as it is, it actually hits harder than Dolemite in terms of story. There’s a deeper plot, message, and something real beneath the wild ass delivery and shaky camera shots. It speaks to the times it came from and honestly, it makes me wonder... like where are the fucking movies now?

January, Kid Cudi threw an album release party in Hollywood, and I was lucky enough to be front row wit my boy, G.
I was snapping pics on an fucked up SD card that would die by the end of the night, but not before I captured the nites energy.
gotta get that card fixed somehow.
Hearing the new tracks live, surrounded by the ragers, was unreal.
And yeah... even ended up getting a blunt thrown at me by the Kid himself.

found another polaroid camera at the thrift store this time for 7.99.
a new baby to add to my growing polaroid collection.
its funny cause this isn't my first polaroid from this same exact thrift
my first being a Polaroid 600 Business Edition, that sadly broke behind my back at a family vacation no one fessed up. im still looking on ebay for a replacement. it might be my favorite in the polaroid camera line up.
this time I snagged a 1980's Polaroid 600 Impulse
*that 600 is important when buying old cams. polaroid still makes 600 film
lost it when i saw the binocular-style grips still intact, which makes the cam easier to hold and shoot & It also has a pop-up flash that protects the lens when not in use.
